Giulia D'Agostini graduated in Modern Languages for International Communication from the University of Padua and got her PhD in Postcolonial Literatures in 2013. Her doctoral dissertation, titled War-scapes: The Nigerian Postcolony and the Boundaries of the Human, was a cross-disciplinary study of the representation of the human and of the relationship between sovereignty and subjectivity in contemporary Nigerian writing. She is now a post-doctoral fellow at the same institution, working as a research assistant, webmaster and database administrator for the project "From the European South: Postcolonial Studies in Italy".
